This is a medium duty two piece collet chuck assembly for pneumatic grinders with a fixed 1/4" size capacity and a 3/8"-24 short threaded mount.  The two piece style collet chuck consists of a collet body and a collet nut which are tapered and lock on to a tool shank when tightened.  No additional collet is needed for operation.  See specification data below for size information to determine if this product is a correct fit.   This part is made from high strength carbon steel with a black oxide finish.

Collet capacity = 1/4" (6.35mm)
OD dia. = .671" (17mm) - Length = 1.78" (45mm)
OD dia. at mounting face = .625" (15.9mm)
Thread between collet body & collet nut = 1/2"-20 UNF
Mount for grinder spindle = 3/8"-24 UNF x .625" long.  (Thread is recessed .377" dia. x .250" deep)
Two wrench flats on collet body & collet nut of .500" (12.7mm)
Concentricity of collet bore to mounting face = .0008" max.
This collet chuck fits many die grinders with a short 3/8"-24 threaded mount.  It is a durable, yet lower cost option for many grinders that use DA200 three piece style collet systems.
