not complete, but close!
A Smidge of History:
This is the original version of the WAIS test, a modern version of which is still in use today.  It was based on David Wechsler's earlier groundbreaking work on intelligence, Th
e
Wechsler–Bellevue Intelligence Scale, first released in 1939.  The adult scale could be considered be a companion to his similar Intelligence Scale for Children published in 1949.  Incidentally, I also have one of those listed at the time of this listing.
This set is in remarkably good condition for it's age. Without an original parts list, I don't know what is or is not here.   All copyright dates I can find are from 1955!  You will receive everything listed below and shown in the pics.
What is included:
Block Design set of blocks - complete, scuffed from use.
4 Puzzles - Elephant, Hand, Manikin and Profile, all complete and in original boxes.

WAIS Object Assembly Layout Shield - again on heavy stock, in excellent condition.
The Original Case --- I believe this is the original case, as it also matches the children's scale set I have listed.  (see my other listings).  The case is super cool and often not included with these sets.  It is in remarkably good condition for it's age!

CONDITION:
This is in very good condition, but this is a USED set.  On the various components, you will find scuffs and other signs of use.  Edges of papers may be dogeared or wrinkled here and there.  The papers and cards may be yellowed from age a bit.  The case is SOLID, and has some scrapes and scuffs consistent with it's age.  I must say, however, I think the case is very nice and very cool!  The 4 puzzles and the blocks are in very nice condition, especially the puzzle pieces themselves.  The blocks have minor scuffing on the edges from use.
WHAT'S MISSING?
I have no way to tell, but thanks for asking.  There is no inventory that I can find, so I'm not sure what's not here. I assume there should be a manual of some sort to guide the user through the process, such as is found in the children's set.   Also note.... you can often find individual parts for these kits for sale here on ebay, so you can likely complete this set!
All in all, it's an interesting bit of educational history, ready for display... or use, I suppose.  A great conversation starter at the least!
