    Description

This small ashtray was sold as a memento of a trip to South Dakota many years ago.  Made in Japan, the tray measures about 5 " x 3.5" and is a shiny silver color.  Large red letters spell "South Dakota" across the top and the entire rectangle has a gold border around the outer edge.  The Ring Necked Pheasant is on one side and the Pasque Flower  decorates the other side.  The concave area of the ashtray is cast with city names and various scenery that would be found at these areas.  Cities such as  Buffalo, Lemmon, Mound City, Aberdeen, Redfield, Cheyenne Indian Reservation, Deadwood, Rapid City, Chamberlain, Mitchell, Sioux Falls, Hot Springs and special places like Mt. Rushmore, Badlands and the Corn Palace are among the items listed on the ashtray.  Colors of red, green and gold have been added to the pictures to make a more interesting souvenir for tourists and these colors are bright and in good condition.  A fun piece for the collector of state memorablia.  Thank you for looking.
