Sony CDP-CX400 Mega CD Changer, COMPLETELY REFURBISHED (See Below)
A very clean and smooth operating machine. Nice audio, easy to operate.
Some of the steps that we follow to bring these units back to nearly new condition.
Install all 3 new belts (Table, Load and Door). Clean pulleys.
Disassemble, clean and lubricate mechanical assemblies. Wash disc tray in dish detergent to remove grease, dust.
Thoroughly inspect all mechanisms
Reset memory to factory (shipping) mode
Clean laser on optical drive. Check for excessive movement.
Check tray alignment and operation of positioning sensor. Adjust using oscilloscope if necessary.
Check electrical cord for damage
Examine wiring and check that all connectors are fully seated
Replace missing screws
Check fluorescent tube brightness
Run diagnostics where needed per service manual
Check audio and test for skipping
Thoroughly clean and polish the outside case

The cleaning and polishing process removes a lot of the cosmetic scratches and scuffs from the outside of the unit, but this machine is USED so check the photos. Most of the scratches are on the top of the unit where they are the least visible.
