  • Condition: Used SONY multi-disc player in excellent cosmetic condition. The disc transport tray recently stopped working, and the unit now powers up but then emits a whirring sound, as though gears for the transport are not engaging. After several 5 sec. attempts at starting, the whirring stops and the display produces a non-specific "error" message. The carousel still spins as though looking for a disc to read.

    SONY 5-Disc Audio CD Changer: For Repair or Parts
    This player worked flawlessly until a few days ago when the disc transport tray stopped working.  The unit has been housed in the same stereo cabinet since it was purchased several years ago, and therefore is in excellent cosmetic shape.  The unit powers-up, and all buttons are intact; please see the "Condition Description" above for an explanation of the unit's dysfunction.  Also, the unit was located in a pet-free, non-smoking environment.  This version did not come with a remote; the original paper manual is included.  I'm starting bidding at 5 cents, as I'm simply looking for someone to either revive or make use of this player; certainly that seems preferable to throwing it in a dumpster, or doing the environmentally responsible thing and finding a recycler for it.  So, basically it's yours for little more than the cost of shipping.  If you are local, you are welcome to pick it up.
