Beautiful handmade Aborigine Australian hunting Tool. This is not a pretty handplanted toy or souvenir! This hunting weapon boomerang was actually gifted to a member of the United States Ambassadors Team during a visit with a bushman tribe in the early 1970's. It was passed along to me in 1987 when I became a neighbor of that retired Foreign Service Officer in 1987. As a weapon, it is not a "returning" boomerang which can be identified by the fact that one side is longer than the other. Returning boomerangs have equal side lengths.The handle side is approximately 13" and the longer side is approximately 14." There are no chips,dents, cracks, or flaws in this boomerang.
