ANTIQUE VINTAGE FRENCH ENAMEL CELLULOID REPOUSSE METAL CLIP STOMACHER

Description

Beautiful French enamel celluloid metal costume jewelry clip or stomacher. The top metal part spins or rotates.  The top piece looks like fleur de lis, and the celluloid pattern looks like the Victorian combs women used in their hair.
In good antique condition. A small part of the celluloid is cracked and missing and some of the enamel paint is gone, but not overly noticeable. One side of the middle metal piece sits higher. The goldtone clip looks like it was replaced in the 1920's or 1930's. It was soldered on top of the original hinge area.
It's slightly heavy, but not too heavy and measures 2 1/2" x 3". Unmarked.
It looks somewhat crudely made like alot of antique costume jewelry. It also looks like it may have been gold washed plated at one time.  Antique costume jewelry is  rarer than precious metal jewelry due to it not holding up as well.
